Have a Project in Need of Funding? Consider the Endowment
Endowment Applications Due by May 6, 2026
Does your chapter or division have a project or program that could use a funding boost? The Izaak Walton League of America Endowment might be able to help with a grant.
The deadline for the 2026-2027 grant cycle is May 1, 2026. Grant awards will be announced at the 2026 national convention. Visit the Endowment website for the application form and details at iwla-endowment.org.
In 2025, the Endowment awarded 31 grants to representing more than $177,000 for projects ranging from prairie restoration and E. coli testing to trap machine replacement and aquatic weed control.
For this year, Endowment has created a special category to aid chapters installing renewable energy. Each chapter may request a grant of up to $2,500 for any of the following:
- Install or lease solar panels
- Invest in a solar garden (off site)
- Install a solar aerator in a chapter pond or lake
- Install or invest in a wind turbine
- Install a heat pump on chapter grounds
- Defray the cost of upgrading heating and cooling equipment on chapter property.
Other similar grants may be considered if they create an energy efficient program.
