This chapter was founded to promote the League’s mission and protect natural resources - especially the local waterways of southwestern Pennsylvania. Chapter leaders are recruiting like-minded conservationists concerned about water and air quality around Pittsburgh and the impact of the region’s coal mining and oil and natural gas extraction industries on the area’s natural resources.
