The Izaak Walton League was founded by people who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and other outdoor recreation, and they knew these activities depend on clean water, abundant wildlife, and a healthy environment. Today, the League works to conserve natural resources and promote sustainable outdoor recreation.
If you are looking for a place to enjoy outdoor recreation, from fishing and hiking to target shooting and camping, League chapters nationwide offer great options.
Another way to be active outdoors is through hands-on conservation activities. You can protect clean water in your community by participating in one of the League’s volunteer monitoring programs or find a League chapter near you and get involved with a local conservation project.
