Prioritizing Conservation in Farmland Rental Agreements

Implementing conservation practices on farmland benefits the soil, water, wildlife and more. In arrangements where the person who owns the land is different than the one farming it, open discussion and clear terms are critical to success.
In this webinar, Jonathan Coppess, Director of the Gardner Agriculture Policy Program, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, will share recommendations for landowners who want to prioritize conservation. Join to learn about potential language to include in written leases that support the adoption of conservation practices and best practices for incorporating conservation into rental agreements.
