The national staff of the Izaak Walton League of America includes a great team of professionals who work in the areas of volunteer science, environmental policy, grassroots advocacy and communications. Most staff work from our headquarters building, which is located on 30 acres of forest in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Executive Director
The Executive Director is the chief executive and strategic leader of the Izaak Walton League of America, reporting to the Executive Board and overseeing the organization’s mission, programs, operations, and finances. Working collaboratively with the Board, staff, chapters, members, and partners, the Executive Director sets priorities, leads staff and volunteers, represents the League publicly, builds partnerships, engages policymakers, and advances the organization’s reputation as a trusted national conservation leader while ensuring financial sustainability and compliance with all governance and legal requirements.

Salary Range: $150,000 – $175,000

Your kit will include a bottle containing 25 nitrate test strips which you can use to test your water source(s) throughout the year. You’ll also receive postcards explaining how to use your nitrate test strips and how to share your Nitrate Watch results on the Clean Water Hub.
Your kit will include four test strips so you can test your waterway throughout the season. You’ll also receive a chart to help you interpret your results and a postcard with instructions for completing a Salt Watch test and reporting your findings.
