Wadsworth
The Wadsworth Chapter began in 1952 and operates under the authority of the Wadsworth District Conservation League (WDCL). The Wadsworth Chapter includes individuals and families who enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, target shooting, bird watching, etc. Among many goals, our chapter collaborates with other local groups through our county’s soil and water conservation district to remove debris from a section of an assigned stream, participates in a stream monitoring (SOS) program, and helps in maintaining a Forest Stewardship Plan for the WDCL’s 32-acre parcel. The Wadsworth Chapter hosts an annual Fishing Derby to encourage youth in our community to “get hooked on fishing.”
