DIRECTOR
OF DEVELOPMENT
The
Director of Development, reporting to the
Executive Director and working closely with
senior staff, has overall responsibility for
developing, coordinating, and implementing a
strategic and comprehensive fund raising
program for the League. This position has a
particular focus on fundraising from major
donors, foundations, and corporations. The
Director is a member of the senior management
team, which assists the Executive Director in
managing the organization and implementing
policies adopted by the Board of
Directors.
NATURE
EDUCATION INTERN
Responsible
for leading nature exploration classes with
pre-school age and elementary school students
at the League’s facility in Gaithersburg,
Maryland and/or at Montgomery County preschools
and elementary schools.
ENVIRONMENTAL
EDUCATION
INTERN
Conduct "Creek
Freaks" environmental education programming for
children ages 10-14, train adult program
leaders to conduct Creek Freaks activities with
children, and monitor water quality of streams
in the greater Gaithersburg area with children
and adults. In addition, the intern will create
videos, fact sheets, and Web site content as
needed to enhance program leader trainings and
will promote the program using social media.
