The 54 sportsmen who founded the Izaak Walton League of America were among the earliest and most vocal supporters of conservation and wildlife management, recognizing that rapid development and unregulated uses of wildlife at the turn of century where threatening the future of many species and of hunting and fishing.
Indeed, the Izaak Walton League of America celebrates National Hunting and Fishing Day every
day by giving adults and children opportunities to experience shooting sports, fishing, and other outdoor recreation at chapters around the country.
Your contribution of $54 or other amount, in honor of the League's original founders, will help fund nature-based recreation activities and local and national conservation efforts that support our values.
